Nobody needs a recipe for yogurt in a bowl. What is worth knowing is that this particular combination is doing considerably more nutritional work than it looks like, and that thirty seconds of toasting the oats is the difference between breakfast and cereal.
Dairy is one of the biggest iodine contributors in most American diets, and thick Greek yogurt concentrates it further than a glass of milk. Prunes are the unexpected part — one of the few fruits with a meaningful amount. Together they make a breakfast with no fish, no seaweed and no cooking.

Does Greek yogurt beat regular yogurt?
It is strained, so it is more concentrated per spoonful. Regular yogurt and milk are perfectly good sources too — you just eat a bit more of them.
Organic or not?
Research has found iodine levels in organic milk can run lower than conventional, largely down to feed and herd management. Neither is a problem; it is just a reason not to assume all dairy is identical.
The best iodine habit is the one that survives a Monday morning. If Lugol's Iodine helped you close a gap, a jar of toasted oats and a tub of yogurt is about as low-effort as maintenance gets.
Recipes are published for general interest and are not medical or dietary advice. Iodine requirements vary from person to person, and iodine has an upper limit as well as a recommended intake. If you are pregnant, nursing, taking thyroid medication or managing a thyroid condition, speak to your healthcare provider before making significant changes to your iodine intake.
